OUR TEST DO NOT PROVIDE ADVICE ON THE BREEDING DECISIONS.
Our DNA-tests provide you with a snapshot of the DNA of your animal. In many cases, we try to inform you of the optimal panel of markers for your personal situation. Please realise however, that our laboratories cannot be held responsible for the breeding decisions that you takee recommend that you contact your local or international breedclub, kennelclub or veterinarian.
SOMETIMES RESULTS FOR SINGLE MARKERS OF A PACKAGE MAY NOT BE REPORTED
In real-life laboratory conditions, a low percentage of results turns out to be missing due to technical reasons. In case that for some markers a result could not be obtained, we re-test the sample. In cases where only one or two of the markers are missing after retest, the sample will be deemed to be reported completely. In general, missing single markers of a package will not be refunded.
PACKAGES MAY POSE AN INCOMPLETE OFFER
Due to the high number of publications in scientific literature, our test packages can never be 100% complete. We have set ourselves to launch an update of the packages two times per year. When updating a package, we will provide information on the reasons for addition of removal of markers. Typical criteria are a) the breeds in which a mutation is present, b) the type of disease and c) technical criteria.
NEVER FULL-PROOF LINK BETWEEN TEST RESULT AND DISEASE SYMPTOMS
Our tests in general refer to scientific publications and correspondingly the given significance on disease, frequency of symptoms and so on. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that an animal may show symptoms based on other, unknown, genetic mutations. Furthermore, a disease may not in every case result in symptoms for many reasons. Consequently, we recommend that you contact your local or international breedclub, kennelclub or veterinarian for advice.
